In-House Cable Manufacturing Plant

Vita Cable operates a fully integrated electrical cable manufacturing facility in India with in-house copper drawing, stranding, insulation extrusion, armouring, jacketing, testing, and dispatch operations. Our plant supports manufacturing of LT power cables, control cables, house wires, flexible cables, and submersible flat cables from 0.5 sqmm to 400 sqmm.

Wire Drawing & Stranding

High-speed copper wire drawing machines reduce rod to precise conductor diameters. Multi-wire stranding lines produce Class 2 and Class 5 conductors to exact pitch specifications.

CAPABILITIES
  • Conductor sizes: 0.5 mm to 50 mm diameter
  • Continuous casting upcast rod input
  • Online annealing for maximum conductivity
  • Automated diameter monitoring

Insulation Extrusion

Twin-screw and single-screw extruders apply PVC and XLPE insulation with tight dimensional control. Inline spark testing at 10kV/m on every meter of insulated conductor.

CAPABILITIES
  • PVC (FR, FRLS, HRFR) compounds
  • XLPE for elevated temperature ratings
  • Wall thickness tolerance: ±0.1mm
  • 100% online HV spark test

Cabling, Armoring & Jacketing

Multi-core cabling machines assemble conductors with precision lay-length. GI wire/strip armoring lines for LT Power cables. Final PVC jacketing with colour and print marking.

CAPABILITIES
  • Up to 48-core cabling
  • GI wire and GI strip armor options
  • Outer diameter tolerance: ±2%
  • Sequential metre marking printed inline

Quality Control Lab

Dedicated QC laboratory with calibrated instruments for electrical, mechanical, and fire performance testing. Samples from each production batch tested before dispatch clearance.

CAPABILITIES
  • Conductor resistance test (IS/IEC)
  • Insulation resistance (Megger)
  • HV test — 3.5kV for 5 minutes
  • Tensile strength & elongation
  • Flammability test (IS 694 / IEC 60332)

Storage & Dispatch

Temperature-controlled cable storage for PVC products. Automatic coiling machines ensure uniform coil geometry. Wooden/steel drum dispatch for bulk and export orders.
